SV	Zo vreesden zij zeer; want Gibeon was een grote stad, als een der koninklijke steden; ja, zij was groter dan Ai, en al haar mannen waren sterk.
WLC	וַיִּֽירְא֣וּ מְאֹ֔ד כִּ֣י עִ֤יר גְּדֹולָה֙ גִּבְעֹ֔ון כְּאַחַ֖ת עָרֵ֣י הַמַּמְלָכָ֑ה וְכִ֨י הִ֤יא גְדֹולָה֙ מִן־הָעַ֔י וְכָל־אֲנָשֶׁ֖יהָ גִּבֹּרִֽים׃
Trans.	wayyîrə’û mə’ōḏ kî ‘îr gəḏwōlâ giḇə‘wōn kə’^aḥaṯ ‘ārê hammaməlāḵâ wəḵî hî’ ḡəḏwōlâ min-hā‘ay wəḵāl-’ănāšeyhā gibōrîm:

AC	ב וייראו מאד--כי עיר גדולה גבעון כאחת ערי הממלכה וכי היא גדולה מן העי וכל אנשיה גברים
ASV	that they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty.
BE	He was in great fear, because Gibeon was a great town, like one of the king's towns, greater than Ai, and all the men in it were men of war.
